My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A little update about Grenade. She always reminds me of what I picture if someone is looking for a classic dog. Her dark nose and eyes are very expressive, and her hair often glints red in the sun. We believe she was born in April, so that makes her 7 - 8 months old now. She was 42lbs when I weighed her last. She is playful and loves toys! She has absolutely no patience if her sister, Ni, steals her toy or treat, which leads to lots of tug of war around the house. She has the softest fur and her favorite napping spot is right on top of anyone sitting in the living room. When she doesn't have a person to cuddle, she sleeps on her back while bent at weird angles and with her legs up in the air.

We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org

More about this rescue

Both a rescue and a sanctuary Our Lil' Bit of Heaven strives to save as many of the “underdogs” as we possibly can. The seniors, the ones with medical needs, the bully breeds, the overlooked and tossed away. All of which deserve as much as any other but, are overlooked time and time again. You can help us do that by volunteering (at the rescue or helping with events), fostering, forever fostering, adopting, donating (monetary and in-kind).

Our purpose is to save the lives of as many canines as we are capable of and find loving homes that are the perfect forever fit for them. To educate the public in proper care of their companions, assist families in financial distress to be able to keep their furry loved ones with them by supplying food, vaccinations, spay/neuter help, preventatives etc.
