Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Garfield is a sweet, boy rescued from the streets of Hartford where so many are homeless. He built a relationship with a kind lady and she eventually helped him get into our foster care system. Garfield is very outgoing and friendly. He has become a lap cat in his foster home and is so much enjoying being in a house. He is always close to his foster mom and always receptive. Garfield does test positive for FIV antigens. It's more common for male cats that are on the streets to test positive because they battle for territory. Most FIV positive cats have normal lifespans and cancer kills more cats than FIV. We are not sure how Garfield is with other cats since his foster mom does not have another cat right now. We do know that he did have friends when he was on the streets so we think he would be fine with other cats. FIV cats can live with other cats if they do not bite. He is really enjoying being an only kitty right now and getting all of the attention.
