Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**** COMING SOON ****
First of all, can we all agree this guy is a real looker? He's getting stopped in the street, and he seems happy for the compliments, giving kisses to his fan club. Smokey is being fostered in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and he should be ready for his forever home around August 1st .
He is about 15 months and is currently 48 pound, housebroken, and is a fairly chill guy - we don't think he was taken on walks - he was surrendered by a backyard breeder whose kids were allergic - but wow, is he loving all the exploring now - super fluffy tail up high, sniffing all the sniffs. And he likes water!! But after the walks, he's totally happy to chill with his foster parents while they work from home.
Doesn't seem to have any destructive behavior, and, as he warms up here, he does seem to like toys. He will need some training - so far as we can tell he's had none, but he's an amiable soul and seems like he will be happy to learn. He doesn't pull on a leash, but he does weave erratically back and forth in front of the person walking him, but it should be an easy job to train him to pick a side and hang out on it once he feels comfortable.
Smokey is an insecure guy, and will take some patience to help him feel at-home. A house with another youngish dog would be nice - he is clearly paying attention to his foster sisters' every move. No signs of any aggression or resource guarding. A home without young kids would be preferred - he is very goofy and could easily knock down small children - but older kids should be fine. And apparently he did love the little kids in his original home - he lived with a 2-year old and 8-year old.
He is a typical Aussie velcro dog, and if you are lonely now, well heck, you won't be once Smokey joins your household!! He sleeps on the floor by the end of the bed, under our desks, and under the dining room table while we eat. Great furry company, this guy!! Smokey will be neutered prior to being adopted out.
