SOS! Someone SAVE me from my foster mom! My name is Sydney, but she calls me SASS. What? Like trying to actually COMMUNICATE is not a shining characteristic of a highly evolved, intelligent partner? I save her every day from the postman and people who trespass on my street! I am a great alarm system when I hear strange noises or anyone near my house or yard so if you live in an apartment, I’ll be the alarm system for your whole building; probably best if I don’t have so many neighbors to help. And if my ball rolls under the couch, I need to remind her that my problem is her problem!
I may be a Border Collie or Aussie plus Corgi mix. I’m about 16” tall, so my legs are taller than a Corgi. I am a cute girl, 23 pounds, 7 months old and very typical puppy – except I don’t destroy stuff like other puppies I know. I’m trying to learn to share with my dog friends, but I have to admit, I think everything I want should be mine! I sleep all night in my comfy crate. I’m healthy (spayed, up to date on everything), happy (JOYFUL, even, if you’re doing all the things I tell you to do!). I love to play fetch! If you don’t do it right (which means A LOT), I’ll tell you about it. I mean, I bring it back to you every time, and drop it right by you so there’s no excuse for you not to throw it again! Come ON! I know how to tell you I’m hungry, thirsty, need to go outside (where the balls are). I am athletic, a very fast runner, and think my small size and long body could win awards!
I know how to sit, lay down, stop, go to bed, and will do those things every single time (if I want to). I like to play with dogs and people. Might be a little “in your face” for small children. I’m trying to remember not to jump on people but when I’m over-excited (is there REALLY such a thing? Come’on now!), I might need reminding (I call it nagging but that’s because my foster mom is so insistent that I don’t get too happy. See? You need to save me!). I’m good on a leash if I’m wearing a harness. I know how to sit nicely to put it on, and I also sit pretty to get my wet feet wiped. When I am talking too much, I’m easily diverted with a toy or ball, or if my people call me to them for some much needed love’n!
