As of May 2024, Rosie has been with us over a year now. She really wants her own inside home. Rosie is great with dogs and getting better with cats all the time. She’s her own house and her own human, She’s just beautiful, but the world has too many cats, so here she sits. She is lovable and wants to be next to you rubbing on you. Rosie would like to keep all 4 paws on the ground, but she would make an awesome best friend to about anyone, and loves to be near you.
Rosie was one of 36 cats that we pulled out of a local shelter last spring. She was caged there because she had lost her hair and they didn’t know why. It was nothing more than a flea allergy. Rosie is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for her family to find her. Her new family needs to be sure they can offer her a forever home with monthly preventative or a flea free environment. Rosie is packed full of personality. She desires a place with little to no other cats especially kittens. She loves to help her humans and be anywhere they are. Rosie enjoys hanging outside, but needs to have inside access as well. We just feel she’s going to want to cuddle with her human once she finally gets her own.
We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better. We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.
We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.
