My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Zora came to us as a baby and was sadly returned when the family parted ways with each other. She is very social and solicits attention but she can become very afraid with sudden movements or being handled too abruptly. She’s come a long way over the last few weeks but does need an applicant who understands kitties and can give her a bit to acclimate to her new environment. You won’t find a more chatty biscuit maker, once Zora knows she can trust you.

Complete an application to meet this little lady!

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

If you are interested in giving this pet a "Furever Home" please complete a Canine or Feline Adoption Application. Make sure the application is completed in its entirety because i ncomplete applications will not be reviewed.  Due to limited volunteers, we may only contact approve applicants.

There are various reasons you may not be contacted- 1) T he dog/cat you applied for is very popular and has received a lot of applications, 2)  There are approved applicants, and we are working on scheduling meet and greets, 3) Unfortunately w e don't think you and the dog or cat are the best match. Please know that in no way does this mean that we think you are a bad pet parent.

Submitting an application does not mean you are committing to a dog or cat, nor does it guarantee you will be approved to adopt.  We have the right to deny or refuse any applicant if in our judgement the pets needs will not be met, or the home environment is not compatible with the needs.  We reserve the right to perform in-home visits at our discretion.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with an adoption application. When you appy, we will do everything we can to assist you in adopting a companion animal that will be an excellent fit for you and your family.

In the best interest of you and the animals, we sincerely want you to find you your "forever dog." We do vet reference checks and reserve the right to perform a home visit on any adoption. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant, if in our judgement, the home environment is not compatible with the needs of the animal or if the animal is not suitable for the applicant.

If you do your homework, adopting a rescue can be one of the most rewarding experiences of a lifetime.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events at various Pet Store locations. Please check or Facebook for our locations or call us at 704-786-7729. We always have a good selection of dogs and puppies, but our animals live in foster homes, so we ask that you give us at least two days' advanced notice if there is a particular pet you are interested in meeting.
Our adoption fee is $200.00 for dogs and puppies. This fee covers the spay/neuter surgery at a spay/neuter clinic in Concord, all shots are up to date as of the day of adoption, heartworm testing and preventative.
