My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a furry friend who's all about love and cuddles? Look no further than Speck, the most affectionate little feline you'll ever meet! Speck, along with his brothers Ash and Theo, was rescued from an abandoned house in a neighborhood southwest of Chicago, and he's ready to bring endless joy to his forever family. This adorable kitty is a certified lap aficionado – he'll choose your cozy lap over his cat tree any day! Whether you're working, watching TV, or taking a catnap, Speck will plop himself right next to you or in your lap, showering you with meows of adoration as he basks in your affection.

Speck's love language is definitely physical touch, and he's a pro at seeking out pets and belly rubs. When you stroke him, prepare for a purring symphony that will warm your heart. This playful bundle of fur has tons of energy and loves wrestling matches with his siblings, foster sister, and even his foster mom's adult cat! He's a social butterfly with humans, but he may need a little time to feel comfortable around new faces. However, once he's won over by your love and patience, Speck will reveal himself as the ultimate love bug, eager to shower you with all the love he has to give.

If you're ready to welcome a lap-loving, purring machine into your home, Speck is eagerly waiting to meet you. He craves attention and would thrive in a home where he's showered with love and companionship. Don't be surprised if he becomes your constant shadow, following you around and reminding you just how much he adores you. So, if you're looking for a new best friend with a heart full of love, stop by and meet Speck – your future cuddle companion is here, ready to steal your heart!

***We are hoping to place this sweet kittie with his brother, Theo so that he can have a companion in his forever home.***

CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.

At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.

Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.

Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
