For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Felix and Leila are the sweetest pair of kittens! They’re both very affectionate and playful, chasing and running after each other throughout the day. What a joy to see them having so much fun! They were abandoned in a home when the homeowner left, and they were only found after being alone for 3 days. In their foster home, Felix is the independent brother while Leila will come running to you to get some more pets! They were born around 01/17/2023.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Once you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend an online group seminar on cat care. Then you would sign the adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older.
All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered. If you adopt kittens that are too young to be altered, we will arrange the spay/neuter/microchip at a later date at a partner vet.

More about this rescue
Anjellicle Cats Rescue is an all-volunteer registered 501c3 cat rescue committed to helping make New York a no-kill city. As one of the most active cat rescues in the 5 boroughs, ACR is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out homeless cats and kittens, many of which are sick, injured or dismissed as unadoptable. Through a coalition of volunteer advocates and caregivers, each rescued cat is welcomed with kindness and medical care into a foster home with the goal of adoption into a permanent, loving home. We believe that no animal should be ill-treated and strive toward a day when awareness, education and compassion have served to replace euthanasia as a solution to companion animal overpopulation.
