My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Natasha`s got the cutest smile - plus she`s always so excited to get out and play with her humans! Stuffed toys are her favorite. She seeks affection from people but may prefer slow introductions to other dogs.

@vcanimalservices

You may recognize Natasha from previous posts. Sadly, this one is a plea for help. ?? Natasha is the sweetest little soul who loves curling up in a ball and playing with stuffies. She’s been in and out of our care for several years with recurring skin cancer. She recently underwent a second surgery to remove some masses on her belly, which may return. Ongoing treatment is not feasible in shelter and frankly - isn’t a good life for this girl. What Natasha really needs is a loving home with someone who will manage her sun exposure and monitor her skin closely. She has done well with dogs of a similar size, but needs a home with no small animals. We are hoping someone with a heart for pitties is willing to take on Natasha. Please come meet this little sweetie and give her a chance. ?? open to an adopter or rescue. Located in Camarillo, CA.

More about this shelter

Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) operates two shelters within the county. The large main shelter in Camarillo houses over 400 pets and the administrative offices. Our smaller facility in Simi Valley houses nearly 40 pets at a time.

Each year, Ventura County Animal Services cares for more than 10,000 animals. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and find life-long homes for as many animals as possible, while providing proper care during their stay.
