My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eagan is appx 4 yrs old, and 90 lbs. This big boy is happy and bouncy, and loves going for walks on leash. While he does ok with other dogs, he can come on kind of strong with them, so needs a large passive female as his playmate, or would do fine as an only dog. He is not a candidate for a home with cats.

Eagan, true to his breed, is quite a "talker". He can almost hold a conversation with you, answering you with barks, yips, and other noises:). He also MUST have at LEAST a 6 FT PRIVACY Fence. He is quite a agile and is cable of climbing most any fencing unless it is tall with a smooth surface.

Eagan is very loving and friendly and will make a wonderful companion for someone who is familiar with his breed.

More about this rescue

We are small group of individuals in Southern Missouri dedicated to the rehabilitation of homeless animals. We help all creatures, promote kindness to animals, respect for the earth and hope to launch a campaign in the next rescue year to combat the pet overpopulation problem in Southern Missouri.
The attitude towards animals here is not a good one; they are viewed and treated, mostly, as chattel. When they are no longer cute, or useful, they are dumped, shot, or just let go. We serve poor, rural communities, whose people do not have the money to pay for their own medical care, let alone veterinary expenses for their pets. Spaying and neutering is not the norm here at all, so we have a huge population of unwanted dogs and cats.
Its been said and said but still everyone does not hear SPAY, SPAY, SPAY, SPAY its the only way we can NIP the SUFFERING for Lost Souls in the Ozarks.
