Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bedford: Rescue Heart Needed
This cutie is looking for a special home that recognizes all what he has been through. He was caught in a trap along with his brother and did not do well at the shelter. Bedford seems young at about a year old and isn't daunted by bigger size dogs. However, he becomes fearful in new situations. We think he is just scared and probably limited in life experiences and feel like most of his behaviors comes from this fear. Once he is comfortable he is very affectionate and acts like a silly puppy. Bedford just needs some TLC. He seems to prefer women over men and seems to bond with one person very intently. He would probably be ok in a home with just a male although the bond might take a bit longer. If he goes to a home with both a male and a female, the male just needs to ignore him and let him gain confidence with him first. We would love for someone retired to adopt him or someone who works from home. Bedford seems to be young but we will know more after his vet appointment. If you have worked with a scared dog before, then he will be pretty easy to manage as he is affectionate and fun once he gets comfortable. We will work on getting him groomed as well. A lot of potential for the right person!! If you would like an adoption application, email storkwoods@comcast.net.
