Little, one year old Grace is ready to find her forever home! She was abandoned in Mt Airy Forest and had one baby who has been adopted. She's now spayed and seeking a quiet home where her personality can blossom. In her foster home, she loves belly rubs, has enjoyed a cat friend, and is learning that dogs are ok too! Foster mom thinks she'd love to be friends with a confident cat or kitten to help her be brave. She loves attention but can be a little shy. She will snuggle near for a nap but doesn't love being picked up yet. I think with encouragement and patience she'll grow up to be a lap cat She purrs and chirps and loves to play. You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
