Malibu is a Valentine's Day pup! If you follow our Facebook page, you may have seen her story. She was horribly neglected then turned out by her previous owners. A good Samaritan took her in and he kept her safe until we could help her out. She's been to the vet and we are giving her all the love we can. She is a Australian kelpie shepherd mix that was born February 14, 2023. She will be a medium dog when full grown. She weighs 31 pounds now. She needs to be in a home where she can be spoiled. She's had a rough start and deserves all the love and kisses! A home with a fenced yard would be ideal for play, exploring and the confidence to complete her housetraining. To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Additional adoption info
Tour/Adoption Hours:
Fridays: 3pm – 5pm
Saturdays: 11am – 2pm
During adoption hours we have volunteers available to show dogs and cats to the public. For safety/insurance reasons we can only allow those 12 years or older to go into the dog kennel wing of the shelter. We ask all visitors not to stick their fingers/hands into the dog kennels. Our adoptable dogs and cats are viewable through our website. Everyone interested in applying for a dog or cat must submit an application through our website. We receive multiple applications for each animal. Applications for particular animals are based on best fit for each animal based on each animal’s behaviors and needs. An application not being selected for a particular animal does not necessarily mean the application was denied, but just that another application was approved.
