Rex has been at SafeHaven since October and this sweet boy (and the staff) can't figure out why. He is very smart, likes to learn, loves to play with toys and loves to play fetch. He would do best in a home with either older children who are dog savvy or non at all. Rex seems to prefer female dogs over male dogs. He would love an active home or someone who would keep his mind engaged! Rex is a wonderful boy who is waiting for it to finally be his chance to find his forever home. If Rex seems like a great addition to your home please stop by and meet him!

More about this shelter
For over 40 years, SafeHaven Humane Society has worked to help our communities’ residents be the best humane beings they can be by providing compassionate temporary shelter care; healthy adoptable animals; information, understanding and education; and population control through spay and neuter programs, instead of euthanasia.
Mission
Finding Homes…Opening Hearts….Educating Minds to strengthen and improve the lives of animals and people.
Vision
We envision a community where every adoptable, treatable companion animal has a loving home and where every loving home has the opportunity to care for a companion animal.
Values
We are guided by the belief that no adoptable or treatable companion animal should be unnecessarily euthanized due to space, time, appearance or treatable conditions.
We are committed to:
* Giving a new chance to companion animals who would otherwise be discarded.
* Strengthening the humane animal bond through education.
* Helping people and their companion animals stay together through the support of programs and services.
* Leading responsibly with compassion.
