My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Banjo! I was born in the middle of May, but my foster mom says that I am an old soul because I act so much older than I really am. I am so well behaved that I am allowed to stay loose in the house with the grown-up dogs instead of being crated when my foster mom leaves. I sleep a lot but I am always ready to play when my foster or one of the dogs in my foster home wants to play. Otherwise I am happy to play quietly on my dog bed with my chew toys. I really like my stuffed toys and I’ve never chewed one up like some dogs do. In fact, one day I found a piece of a paper towel on the floor and I just carried it around in my mouth instead of shredding it or trying to eat it. I rarely bark and I am crate trained. I have the webbed toes of a retriever which would make me a good swimmer. I have a happy, calm, easy going personality and a submissive temperament. I greet everyone at the door with a wagging tail. I am curious about new things. I don't jump on people or beg for food. I already know "back" when anyone goes out of the door. I am learning to go outside to potty. I have grown up with someone in a wheelchair and I have learned not to get under foot. I am a well behaved boy waiting to make someone a great friend and wonderful companion!

I have several new videos on the rescue website Carolinacaninerescuenc.com.

I have had my third puppy shot and have been dewormed. I will see a veterinarian before going to my new forever home. I am ready and eager to go home to my new family!

There is another video of me on the rescue website.
