From her foster mom: "With beautiful amber eyes to match her gorgeous black and tan coat, meet the sweetest jar of honey in dog-form – Suki! Suki is a petite packaged hound x who is playful, affectionate and has now even started showing her goofy side 😊. She came to us as a rescue from a remote island and an even more remote shelter, and is slowly adjusting to living in a home and a city environment. She is initially nervous of new people and surroundings, but does very well once she familiarizes herself with both. With time, love and patience, I have watched Suki bloom into such a wonderful dog, and I know she would make an amazing, loyal and Oh Soooo Loving companion dog! The highlight of Suki’s life is being around other dogs! She navigates life through the eyes of her more confident foster siblings and them leading the path makes her infinitely more comfortable in every situation. She would absolutely thrive in a home with one or more resident dogs, and seamlessly integrate into any pack as she is very polite and submissive in nature and will win over even the most selective of dogs easily. As too much movement and sounds startle her, her ideal home would be in a quieter suburb or an apartment/condo. She is housetrained, crate trained, sleeps through the night, rarely barks (unless a quick alert bark when she hears someone in my condo hallway), knows basic commands and is amazing on leash too! She really is the perfect dog in every single way, and all she really needs is a confident and patient family with at least one resident dog to help to continue to build her confidence and trust with new people and in new environments. She currently attends doggy daycare few times a week and has quickly bonded with a few staff members there too! She is a medium energy girl who is happy to have a flex schedule and take your cues as to what we’re doing next 😊. She loves to snuggle with me and my dogs, and would be in absolute bliss if you have a small spot available on your hooman bed for her 😉 She curls up into the tiniest little donut dog and it just melts my heart to absolute mush! Suki has been spayed, health checked, and up to date on all vaccinations and is more than ever ready to find her furever home! Thanks to her AMAZING foster family, she had the softest landing and has learned a lot of skills and basic training and how it feels to be a cherished member of a family.
