Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE - HENRY - 20 months old (will be 2 years old November 2023) - fully vetted/neutered - smooth coat - is looking for an experienced loving home. Henry was adopted as a puppy by an older couple; however, sadly, the owner is in hospice. Henry used to go to doggie daycare AND was boarded there until a foster was found. HENRY is great at doggie daycare, but needs training with living with other dogs. A bit of resource guarding that can be easily fixed with the right training. He is just a giant puppy who lived without other dogs until recently.
HENRY LOVES LOVES LOVES THE FOSTER'S CATS. One is a kitten that dive bombs him from her cat condo and henry loves it. And the other cat is an oldtimer that hangs out with Henry for licks and paw slaps from the cat - Henry is SO GENTLE WITH THEM.
Henry is great with the teenagers in the home but is not friendly at all with the 10 year old boy in the home. Also, Henry needs further help with walking on a leash and has some stranger danger. All typical boy-big puppy behavior when not walked and or trained as a puppy. But, DO NOT GET ME WRONG,,,, He is a giant, sweet teddy bear. Perfect at home other than dog resource guard.
We are looking for a home for Henry with a family that has big puppy experience, kindness, love and a nice pc of property and/or fenced in yard. Please call, Dawn 610-787-2353 if you are intersted. Or, email us at alpinemastiffrescue@yahoo.com for an adoption application. Henry is free to a qualified home.
