My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ever since I arrived to the shelter I've been dreaming of a life where I could be the best version of myself and never have to worry about getting left behind. There was no one to tell my story when I got here and I was so scared and out of my element that I wasn't about to let anyone in either. It didn't take me long to realize that the staff were here to help and only wanted what was best for me and little by little the walls I had put up around my heart started to crumble. My tail started to wag and my personality started to shine; I began to feel like there was a place for me to belong and a life better than what I was leaving behind. They say shelters are full of magic and I can tell you that's true, but you'll just have to come in and see for yourself. I've had positive interactions with other dogs and cats, am very food motivated and about as loyal as a dog can be. I'm 1000% ready for you to fall in love with me.

More about this rescue

Located in beautiful north central Wisconsin, we have a beautiful new facility and dog walking trails. We are a full service, unlimited admissionhumane society shelter contracted with the county to house all stray animals. We believe in the humane and ethical treatment of all living creatures, and promote these beliefs in our actions and educational outreach programs. We work with rescue groups, volunteers, and the public to promote sterilization of companion pets and "forever" homes. All dogs, cats and rabbits are sterilized before adoption or have a scheduled appointment at a time determined by veterinary staff.
