Meet Cleopatra! Cleo was one of the Wonder Pups but she has grown into a Super Dog. Cleo is a fun loving, silly and bouncy girl. She has good house manners, loves her people, and knows basic commands which she generally responds well to. Sadly this sweet girl was returned because she was a bit fearful in her adoptive home. See Cleo is pretty unsure about strangers of all ages. Who can blame her, strange people can be pretty intimidating, especially when you’re uncertain of their motives. This made her adopter uneasy and they unfortunately just didn’t have the funds to find a trainer to work her through this behavior, so they made the responsible but absolutely heartbreaking decision to give her back to the rescue. We are hoping to be able to find a trainer to work with her, but would also love to find her a home where her people are able to work with her through her insecurities to allow her to blossom into the amazing dog that she is.

Cleopatra's adoption fee of $245.00 includes her spay, microchip, and UTD vaccines..

Our adoption process consists of an application and home check. If approved then an adoption contract is required. Our fees include alter, age appropriate vaccinations, and microchip. The adoption fee is stated in the bio.

More about this rescue

Maggie was our first foster dog and our inspiration. Maggie did not come to our house alone, she gave birth to 11 puppies. We adopted Maggie several months later. That has been over two years now, and we continued to foster puppies and moms. So it is in her honor that we have named this rescue after her.
Miss Maggie May's Rescue is an all volunteer rescue group based in Tucson, AZ. Founded on September 4, 2012. We provide medical care, spay/neuter and vaccinations for dogs that have found themselves deemed not adoptable in our local shelter. It could be moms to be, families, puppies, sick or injured dogs. We also take in strays and owner surrenders. We are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and giving these dogs a safe place to get well before finding them a loving home. All our dogs are fostered in private volunteer homes.
