My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our newest foster, the adorable Milkshake, is already looking for her forever home! We pulled Milkshake from the shelter where she was terrified and alone. No one ever came forward for her, but luckily, we stepped in!
We believe Milkshake to be a 5 year old Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix. She is quite unique looking! Luscious locks, a sweet face and a great personality to boot - Milkshake has it all! We're not sure of her past, but she can be a little timid at first. Once she opens up though, she is a total sweetheart! Whether you are sitting on the couch, going for a walk, or cooking dinner, she likes to be by your side. Being a Border Collie mix, Milkshake has some energy to burn and enjoys exercising with her person. She enjoys playing tug, fetch, and of course, going on walks and sniffing around.
When she’s not chewing on a toy or napping, Milkshake enjoys looking out the window and letting you know when someone/something suspicious goes by. Although her definition of suspicious and yours might be different, so don’t be surprised if she alerts you about a sketchy squirrel! To sum up, the key points about Milkshake would include:

-She would be best with kids 8 and up - Since Milkshake is still nervous in newer situations, we think kids who understand her nerves and can respect her boundaries would be best for her.
-Supplemented canned food diet - Milkshake can be a bit of a picky eater, she eats best when her food is a mixture of canned and dry food.
-A fenced in yard would be ideal - Although we don’t know for sure why, Milkshake is still a little fearful of us putting on a leash. She is improving every day, and does better with her harness. Ideally, she could run free in a controlled area with no fear of getting lost again!

If you are interested in adopting Milkshake
- Email for an application at canineliberationleague@gmail.com
- Or download or fill our the application on our website at www.canineliberationleague.com/application

Once we receive a completed application that is APPROVED, we will do a vet check. If everything goes well, then we will set up meet & greets. Just because you apply for a foster dog, that doesn’t mean you will be called in regards to your application.

Milkshake is spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, and Bordetella. She has also been fecal and heartworm tested.
