Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Elton is the cutest! He’s the perfect medium-size, is a fantastic combo of energetic and playful yet super chill indoors. His eye contact is fantastic and he’s excelling at his basic training having quickly learned sit, watch, place, wait and down. He’s also making great progress at loose leash walking and “stay”.
When Elton first arrived at the rescue he was timid but has certainly come out of his shell. At a year old, he's going to make a fantastic companion for one lucky person or family. Thus far he gets along with both male and female dogs other than his brother (sibling rivalry :-) He truly has the most beautiful face and looks at you so intently, waiting for direction. We believe Elton is likely a Lab/ Black Mouth Cur mix. The southern Black Mouth Cur is classified as a working dog with an energetic and playful nature. The Southern Cur dog breed that will capture your attention while keeping you safe and pulling on your heartstrings with their sensitive, loving natures. Black Mouth Curs are a great choice for a family pet or to serve as the perfect best friend for the right person. https://post.bark.co/breeds/black-mouth-cur-guide/
Elton was rescued from a horrible hoarding case. The conditions he was forced to live in were horrendous – no dog should ever have to endure that. Despite his ruff start, this boy is thriving at our rescue. He’s social, fun, happy and so grateful to have a full belly and get the training, love and enrichment he’s always deserved. Now it’s your turn to give him the life he could have only doggy dreamed of.
