Meet Calvin, an truly lovely 6-year-old mix with an insatiable passion being a couch potato and your BFF. Calvin was left outside of a West Virginia shelter on Christmas Eve of 2022. He joined us in NH in August of 2023. We cannot really understand why this mild manned boy is still with us. He has been in foster for several months and makes a wonderful companion following you from room to room at times just to be in your proximity. He enjoys a couple of walks a day but is never going to challenge you to run a marathon. He loves to go for car rides and sits quietly in the backseat looking forward to the trip. He would thrive in an low key home that just wants a loving companion.

More about this shelter
At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
