My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a super cute, social and smart buddy to take with you on all your adventures? Look no further!

Cory is right around a year old and wicked smart. You can see the focus in his strikingly beautiful eyes. An experienced handler would love this boy. Smart, affectionate and the sky is the limit when training this young buck. He’s quickly learned sit, watch, wait, down, heal, place and has moved on to tricks.

Cory loves every person he’s met, enjoys playing with other dogs and has done well with our super chill resident rescue cat. He’s up for any adventure then is ready to chill and snuggle indoors. He’s the total package!

We believe Cory is likely a Lab/ Black Mouth Cur mix. The southern Black Mouth Cur is classified as a working dog with an energetic and playful nature. The Southern Cur dog breed that will capture your attention while keeping you safe and pulling on your heartstrings with their sensitive, loving natures. Black Mouth Curs are a great choice for a family pet or to serve as the perfect best friend for the right person. https://post.bark.co/breeds/black-mouth-cur-guide/

Cory was rescued from a horrible hoarding case. The conditions he was forced to live in were horrendous - no dog should ever have to endure that. Despite his ruff start, this boy is thriving at our rescue. He's social and so happy to have a full belly and get the training, love and enrichment he's always deserved. Now it's your turn to give him the life he could have only doggy dreamed of.

Cory loves to play with male and female dogs alike. If other pets are in the home, we think Cory would do best paired with a female or male on the more submissive side.
