Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Toby is a 13-pound, 5-year-old Chihuahua. Toby should enter the tail wagging Olympics as he would certainly bring home the gold medal. All his fosters have to do is say his name and thump thump thump—the tail wags like crazy! (See the blurry tail in picture 1.)
Toby loves toys. His very favorite toy, a stuffed, squeaky turkey leg (see picture 2), has earned him the nickname “Turkey Leg Toby.” One of Toby’s favorite games is to chase his toys one after the other, after the other, after the other. When the toys have had enough of being chased, he’s very content to sit on the floor gnawing on his stuffed turkey leg.
Toby gets along great with other dogs, both male & female, and enjoys roaming the yard, chasing toys, and napping with them. He doesn’t try to harm cats, but he barks at them like a madman, so no cats for this guy.
Toby loves his fosters. He’s happy just to be noticed, and ecstatic when you sit down beside him. Perhaps you have a butt scritch or tummy rub in mind—Toby will happily present the appropriate body part. He loves foster dogmom and foster dogdad equally. He’s skittish around new people for a bit at first, but quickly adapts--especially if the newcomers tell him what a good boy he is!
Toby’s manners are impeccable. He’s house trained and crate trained, although he behaves so well there’s no need to ever crate him. He is totally non-destructive and doesn’t chew on anything—except his toys, of course, and they have it coming.
Toby is a well-behaved, adorable and loving dog who deserves his very own home or apartment, and a mom or dad to go with it.
Toby’s adoption fee is $275 and includes neuter, all shots & microchip. He is heartworm-negative and is on heartworm prevention.
