This sweet girl is Rosie. She's a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Rosie is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash. She knows basic commands (sit, stay, down, go to crate) and is always eager to learn new things.
Rosie gets along with dogs, but a slow introduction is best for her. Rosie enjoys going on walks and a toy box filled with bones!! She also loves being curled up beside her person getting snuggles.
Rosie can be a bit timid and doesn’t enjoy loud noises, crowds or being out and about in public and would definitely prefer staying home binging on Netflicks or soaking up some sun in the backyard.
Rosie came into rescue as a stray in 2019, young, starved and scared. It took time for Rosie to adjust, but once she did she thrived and was adopted by what appeared to be the perfect family. Sadly, that wasn’t the case and she was picked up again early 2023 in horrible condition. However; in spite of it all she is still so loving and easy to please.
Like many pitties, Rosie has allergies/skin issues that flair up from time to time, but with a little extra TLC and a bath every few weeks, she does fine.
If any dog deserves to find that perfect home, Rosie is right there at the top of the list! If you think you are that person or want to learn more about Rosie, please fill out an adoption form at HTXdogRescue.org
