My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end)

At a very young age I was in a battle with a weedwhacker. I ended up with some battle wounds but I’m strong and have made a full recovery, except for a tiny scar on my top lip. I was very lucky that I didn’t get seriously injured and I think that’s where my name might have come from. I have graduated from Foster Boarding School and am now working on my next big adventure….finding my new family
.
While I’m waiting at school I’m practicing for a kitten triathlon. I spend a lot of time running, chasing, wrestling and hunting toy bugs. This kind of intense workout makes me hungry! I like to enjoy two meals of wet food a day in addition to having dry food available at all times. Along with my triathlon training, I have been brushing up on my computer skills and assisting my foster mom with various housework chores. It might sound like I’m pretty busy, and I am, but I still have time for snuggling with my foster mom and play with the other kittens at school.

My training gives me a lot of energy so it would be a good idea if my new home had another kitty, or two or three, and maybe even a cat savvy dog. I don’t have any dog friends but I’m pretty easy going so I’m sure we could work on building a great friendship. I have to say that I might not have enough space in an apartment to adequately do my training so I should probably live in a house with a lot of space, a tall cat tree and a lot of toys. All of these things are importing for my development and training. Oh, and I need to be an indoor only kitty because you don’t want to chasing cars up and down the street….that could be dangerous.

These is a lot more to know about me but my foster mom said that I had to make my introduction short and to the point….and that she would give you more information about me when you meet me. I am currently accepting applications and interviewing for my new family so if you think you can live with an energetic kitten that is training for a triathlon and that gives a lot of kitten snuggles you should submit an adoption application as soon as possible, as I’m sure there will be a lot of people wanting to adopt me. After all, I’m cute, like to snuggle and playful….what else do you need in a kitty companion and family member?

*****ADOPTION PROCESS:*****

APPLICATION:
Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match.

INTERVIEW:
An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time.

APPROVAL:
If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files.

TIME FRAME:
Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc. may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days.

WHY:
Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive.
