'The color indigo reflects great devotion and wisdom' What a great name for his foster parents to pick! Indigo (formerly known as Dodge) is looking for his forever family! He is a 35lb Chihuahua mix, around 1 year old! Indigo is great around both people and other dogs! He spent the first year of his life with the same family, until they claim he charged at their child one night. His family also stated that he was very playful and often worked up in play with their child. We're not sure that a chihuahua puppy getting rowdy is a reason to surrender him, but Indigo has shown zero aggression in his foster home! In fact they agree he is very loving and playful! Indigo is a cuddler and likes to be up on the couch with his people. He is a quick learner, already mastering several commands and working on more! This little pup still has some high separation anxiety, worried that his new home is going to abandon him again. He is being trained to stay in kennel when home alone. We are looking for a patient home to help him learn that he is safe and give him plenty of time to warm up to the routine. Since he did have a past concern, we are looking at kids 10+ for now.
