My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 yr old Maximus is a calm sensitive fella! He calmly comes out of kennel and walks nicely to the yard to play and potty. Poor young Maximus flinches at loud noises and barking dogs but does seem to find comfort in more welcoming dogs. He even relaxes and gives tail wags to dogs passing by and tried to approach a soft bodied puppy while walking back to his kennel. Like all dogs he will need time to decompress and adjust to his new surroundings. After some initial separation he may do well with a calm social dog to show him the way. Maximus appears to be the calm, sensitive type that will need a quiet home and a patient foster to help him overcome this recent trauma. He must have had a person at some point, as he walks well on his leash. He sure would like to leave the shelter and get into a home again.
