Journey is a 6-1/2 year old boxer/pitbull mix with a wonderful personality. Her tail has been amputated due to excessive chewing. Her tail is healing fine and she is on antibiotics. She has been dewormed, is heart worm negative, and is up to date on vaccines.

Everyone that adopts must first fill out an application and get approved by our adoption team. We allow people to meet our animals to make sure it is the right fit along with letting their animals meet our animals as well as long as that animal meets the vetting criteria.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit and no-kill shelter in Rutherford North Carolina. We pull animals from animal control and take in animals from the community. We make sure everyone is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and put on something for fleas, ticks and heartworm prevention. We then place them up for adoption making sure they go into great homes.
