My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kimmie is a sweet girl. She loves dogs, so a home with at least one other dog is preferred. She can adapt to any other dogs personality and can allow a dominate dog to lead without causing issues. Kimmie does great in a pack and avoids conflict with all other dogs.

She is a nervous girl, more so around men. She takes some time to become comfortable in her new environment. Once she is settled in Kimmie is loving and well behaved. House broke, crate trained, and doesn't get into things she shouldn't. Kimmie loves hard chew toys and shares her toys well with her pack. She would be a great companion for an alpha male that likes to romp and play.

More about this rescue

Stray Haven provides homes, as foster space allows, for dogs and puppies. We primarily focus on pulling dogs and puppies from independent rescuers who have little resources to secure the vetting and homes that these precious babies so desperately need. Some counties in rural areas don't have access to a county run shelter or facility and these independent rescuers are breaking their backs trying to make sure that dogs aren't starving or freezing after abandonment.

In addition to taking in these dogs and puppies, our outreach continues to help independent rescuers by providing education, exposure for the animals in their care and donations when possible to support their cause.
