What a couple of extra handsome fella's!! Zues and Rex are purebred Newfoundlands, aka Newfies. True to their breed, they are awesome family companions and are both loving and gentle boys. Do to changes within the family, they are not longer able to keep their much loved dogs. They are hoping to find a new home for them that will love them every bit as they do.
Zeus is 9 years old and he is all black. His family describes him as a true gentle giant. Although he is 9 years old he still gets around great and is a fairly active boy. Although, his favorite way to spend his day is a quite leisurely existence. Zeus prefers to relax out in the screened in porch and greet the passerby with his very loud woof, just a Newf way of saying Hello! Zeus plays well with other dogs, loves wading in the river, car rides(in the right car) and is fabulous with the families two kids. They say he has been a must see at the summer youth baseball games. I imagine he was a star attraction for lots of excited kids!!
Rex is a brown Newfie with white tuxedo markings on his chest. He enjoys swimming, romping in his fenced yard and his very favorite thing is playing fetch. He will do well with an active family that will play with him, and perhaps work on his leash skills. His family says he is not the best at this point walking on a leash. His family says he is settling well into adulthood and will be a welcome addition to a loving family.
Rex and Zeus do not need to be adopted together, but that would be great! They will do well with loving, active families, a fenced yard will be a priority, as well as previous Newfie experience is a huge plus. They are awesome boys and will make some lucky family very happy. Both boys have recently had a full vet work up, are current on vaccinations and are neutered as well...and freshly groomed!!
