My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elias (with white whiskers,) and his brother, Grover, (with black whiskers,) came to KittyCorner when they were tiny kittens in February of 2021.  They are brothers and best friends and were adopted together, but when their people became too ill to care for them any longer, the boys came back to us as part of our "Lifetime Return Policy." We were delighted to see them all grown up as sleek, healthy young adults.  And they are so well-adjusted. We kept them caged at first, but after their shots and tests were updated, and they were pronounced healthy, they regained their freedom.

We put them in our library.  I know they felt abandoned, first when their adoptive Mom passed away, and  then when their Dad had to bring them back.  They were a little depressed at first, but they have wonderful attitudes.  You could almost hear them saying "Okay, we're in a different place, so we better explore and stake out some territory   But the food is okay, and that other kitty is nice." (They live with an older kitty in their room for extra company) Elias is big, sleek and confident.  Grover is a little smaller and likes to have huis brother around for confidence, but still likes people a lot and is very friendly.

  Both boys love to play.

They have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and have great personalities.  They’d love a family who would love them  and play with them and let them be a big part of their lives with lots of play and other stuff to do.

For a pair of perfect young adult cats who are ready to be a part of your family’s lives, Please consider Elias and his brother, Grover (see his listing separately.)  WE WANTED THEM TO STAY TOGETHER, BUT WE THNK THEY COULD EACH GO BY HIMSELF.  Since they are very cat-friendly (with a proper introduction) they could probably learn to love a new kitty companion.

If you think you might be interested in adopting  this fun and loving pair, OR ONE OF THEM BY HIMSELF, please take the first step by filling out an adoption application for them at kittycorner.org under the Adoption tab, or at this link https://kittycorner.org/adoption/application/  Please make certain that your email address is correct. With an accepted application KittyCorner will contact you by email to set up a time for you to come meet them.  All KittyCorner cats come with a lifetime "cat-back" guarantee. If at any time for any reason they need to be returned/rehomed, please just return them to KittyCorner.   We  will happily take them back. KittyCorner wants to be sure that  They will always have a safe place to stay. Thanks for considering adopting them!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Whether you have already found a cat or kitten you like in our adoptive listings, or if you just want to come and meet all our cats available for adoption, the first step is the application.

The first step to adopting is the adoption application. Our adoption application can be done over the phone 315-457-4420 or online at our website http://www.kittycorner.org under the "adopt" link; or here's a direct link http://www.kittycorner.org/pages/adoptapp.php

We request an adoption donation for our cats and kittens, which helps us to offset a little of our veterinary costs.
All cats, even the kittens, must be sterilized before going to new homes. We believe strongly in pediatric spay-neuter, a practice that can be used with kittens as young as eight weeks.

Go meet their pets

If you see a particular pet listed that you might like to meet, please call or e-mail and we'll tell you all about him or her.
If you are just looking to meet our cats available and see if one "clicks" with you, that's fine too!
Once you've completed the adoption application, either online or by phone, we'll invite you to meet our kitties. All of our adoptable cats are housed in the same location, so you will be able to meet everyone in one visit. We are located in Liverpool, NY.

More about this rescue

At Kitty Corner, we are NOT a shelter. We are "cat rescuers" -- volunteers who live with the rescued cats in our own homes. We provide shelter, veterinary care and a chance for a new life in a loving home for cats who have been abandoned or who never had a home at all due to the overwhelming number of homeless pets.
We are all volunteers and 100% of every donation is used for the care of the cats.

When a cat first comes to us, they are briefly caged and isolated until they see our vet. They are checked for parasites and diseases. We provide vaccinations and any other veterinary care they may need. We also spay or neuter any cat who is old enough.
The healthy, altered cats are then evaluated for personality and placed in one of our four "cat rooms". When necessary, we work to overcome behavior or emotional problems so that the cat will be a happy, adoptable pet.

We try to match each cat with the person or family for whom it is best suited. The happiness of the cat and its new "people" is our first priority. In the last few years, we have taken in hundreds of cats and placed almost all of them in caring, responsible homes.

Kitty Corner is firmly committed to the idea that once a cat comes to us, it will never be homeless again. We have a life-long "cat back" guarantee. If an adoption doesn't work out at any time, for any reason, we ask that you to return the cat to us.
