My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hola, I’m Copper and I hail from beautiful New Mexico. I’m between 1-2 years old and I’m what you might call a bagel dog aka a beagle-basset hound mix. But what I’m really made of is love, I love my family and only want to be right there with them. I’m happy to be around basically anyone: dogs, cats, children, maybe birds… I don’t know I’m a little short to meet many of those. I have the typical basset hound legs so I’m a little short but that doesn’t hamper my enthusiasm in any way. I may not be summiting the nearest 14’er this weekend but I’m happy to do a quick 5 miles on any trail around. I love me some toys too, my favorites at the moment are Costco cheese wheels (the squeaky kind not actual wheels of cheese but I’d be all over those if I could). I’m fully potty trained and happy to spend some chilling out if needed or my family has to leave the house. My adventuring in Colorado has included road trips, paddle boarding, and many hikes. While my verdict is still out on swimming, I look good riding a paddle board if I do say so myself.
Copper
is truly the best dog we have fostered (over 10 at this point) and will be sorely missed in the house but we just don’t have room to keep him. He is the biggest clown and loves prancing around the house, chasing toys, and pulling his best seal impression.
with very odd neck angles. He does like to mouth things, for lack of a better term, but never bites with any force and hasn't chewed anything that's not a toy of his. Other than that, he does really love attention, whether leaning, standing, or laying his head on you, he just wants to be around his family. Copper would be perfect for a single owner, family, or even with multiple other pets. He is neutered, microchipped, & up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $275.00.
