My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Harvey! I’m an energetic, cuddle-loving dog with the heart of a puppy. I love balls, fluffy toys, sticks, paper, and even popping bubble wrap. I’ll find things in your yard that you didn’t even know were there. I have no sense of personal space because I believe the best thing is life is being close to the people I care about. If you’ll let me I’ll lay with you after a long day of work and keep your blankets warm at night. I love kids and showering them with attention, but my energy might be too much for small children at first. I get along great with friendly dogs, especially those who love to play. I’m not quite sure how to walk on a leash just yet, but I am working on it.

I’de be great for homes with at most one other dog, and no cats. I’m not sure what to do around small dogs since my foster home only has medium to large dogs (40+ Ibs).

Animal Care Services (ACS) does not accept online submission of adoption applications. All adoptions are on a first come, first served basis.

1. Tour the kennels and find a pet you’re interested in. The shelter staff can help you get acquainted with your new friend.
2. Bring in the family (even the four-legged members) to meet your prospective pet.
3. Once you've made a decision, head to the ACS Adoption Center to complete your adoption.
NOTE: Adoptions are processed 30 minutes prior to closing time.

We include the following services in the adoption fee:
Spay and neuter surgery
Lifetime registered microchip & tag
Rabies vaccination
Flea and tick prevention
First round of vaccinations
NOTE: Pets under the age of four months will need to be brought back to receive their rabies shots.
