Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Scar. I'm a very shy boy who is a SPCA Alumni. My friends at The SPCA of Texas are helping me and my pair bonded sister Cardamom (A49904166) find a new home since our family could no longer take care of us. We are both very nervous with new people but give us the time and patience we need and we will become the best house kitties.

We need a calm and quiet home that can provide us lots of love and TLC while we acclimate to our new environment! An experienced cat owner would be great too.

My sister has a disease called Feline Leukemia (FELV). My friends at the shelter can give you more details. Due to her medical condition, we have been pair bonded and need to be the only cats in the home.

No little ones for us, we prefer a home with teenagers and adults.

Come see us any day of the week from noon to 6p.m..

Animals are available by walk-in on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments are also available for select animals. Check each animals' bio for more information.

To adopt a pet from the SPCA of Texas, we not only help make love connections, but we then walk you through an adoption process that is geared to ensuring you and the pet are a great match. There is a contract to sign at the end of the process. Adoption fees are as follows:

Puppies 0-6 months: $150
Adult dogs 6 months or older: $75

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations (which can include Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Bordetella), spay/neuter surgery, deworming treatment, initial heartworm preventative, a rabies tag, Free health examination within fourteen days of the adoption thanks to our partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, a leash and a microchip. Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult). Free week of training through Good Pup.

The SPCA of Texas is the leading animal welfare organization in North Texas.
