My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, potential forever family! My name is Chona, and my journey has taken me from the shelter, where I've spent most of my life, to a foster home where I'm learning what it means to be a carefree, happy pup. I'm on a path to embracing a world where life is super fun and not so scary.

I'm a pup with a heart full of potential and a growing eagerness to experience all the joys life has to offer. I thrive in the company of confident, furry friends who can show me the ropes and teach me that the world is a wonderful place. Playing with my foster siblings brings me so much joy, and I absolutely adore doing zoomies in the backyard. Toys are my absolute favorite, and I can't get enough of them!

I'm seeking a loving home with another dog who can continue to help me build my confidence and show me the wonders of the world. I've recently aced my cat test, so I might even get along with a feline friend! Patience, understanding, and a lot of love will help me continue to blossom. I'm still learning to enjoy snuggles and affection, but with time and support, I'm sure to become a pro cuddler. A gentle and patient approach will help me overcome my fears and learn to trust. I'm also looking forward to expanding my circle of trust to include men, so a patient and understanding male presence in the home would be wonderful.

I'm a healthy pup with a heart full of love and a spirit ready to thrive. A nutritious diet and regular exercise will keep me happy and healthy for all the adventures we'll share together.

I'm a smart cookie and eager to learn! Basic obedience training and positive reinforcement will help me continue to grow into the best pup I can be. I'm already making great progress with potty training, and I'm excited to learn even more with the support of my forever family.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a loving, resilient, and spirited companion, I could be the perfect match for you. Together, we can embark on a journey filled with love, trust, and endless joy. I'm eager to find my forever family and share a lifetime of wonderful adventures. Could you be the one to give me the loving home I've been dreaming of? Let's start our beautiful journey together!

More about this rescue

Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. We are currently a small group of committed volunteers making a difference in the life of one animal at a time. As an all volunteer administration, all donations made to Soul Dog go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives.

Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.
