JOEY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Joey    Best Guess for Breed:  Domestic Short Hair

Approximate Weight:  10 lbs as of 8/13/23

Gets Along With:  Because of his young age, Joey will likely get along with other cats with a proper acclimation period.  We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!

Currently Living at:  DC area foster

Special Consideration: No kids under 12 and need a commitment to socialization by the adopter. He is looking for an experiences adopter that can give him a quiet and loving home.

I am Looking For: My loving forever home! Hi- I'm Joey, a cute tabby boy who won’t ask for much...just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self.

What My Foster Says About Me:Joey can be nervous, particularly around new people and especially around young children. He will come and say hello to visiting adults and older children. Joey is not a dominant personality, but rather passive. With me, Joey is very very affectionate. He loves to be held, petted. Joey does great with my resident cats.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
