My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IF YOU CAN SEE THIS POST, I AM STILL AVAILABLE AND LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER FAMILY

Meet Nyota! This handsome boy is thought to be 2 years old, and he is an excellent low/medium energy companion! Nyota is house trained, and has shown good manners in his foster home! He doesn’t get on the furniture, and he seems to enjoy his crate. Nyota sleeps in there with the door open! He loves people and has done well with the kids he has met too. Nyota enjoys being around other dogs, and he also loves a good chew bone and chasing his ball! He is a gentle player, and he likes to be pretend chased by his person so he can run around the back yard! Nyota is not currently fostered with a cat, but he has met a couple of cats now and seems to do fine. We’d recommend a dog savvy cat if his forever home is going to have a kitty!

Nyota does not love car rides, and his foster has been working hard with to try and help him understand that nothing bad is going to happen. He has been improving and going on some fun adventures with his foster family, but his adopter should know he does need some extra encouragement and help getting into the car! Nyota weighs 64 lbs.

Nyota does have a defect in one of his front legs, but it really doesn’t hold him back. We’ve worked with our vet and an orthopedic specialist and he is comfortable and happy with the medication he is on. It costs about $15/month and his adopter will need to continue it. Nyota is a very sweet boy, and he’d love to find a family of his own! He is fostered in Vancouver, WA. Please apply to adopt him.
