My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**LEVI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Pal's Place Rescue would love to introduce you to one of our newest and cutest rescues, Levi, a gentle, mild-mannered puppy looking for a forever family. This sweet baby is estimated to be 4.5-5 months old (as of 8/15) and weighs in at 25 pounds. Pal's Place rescued Levi and his three littermates from an open-intake shelter and overburdened animal control facility in Kentucky. An overcrowded, chaotic, stressful pound is no place for very young pups, so we scooped these sweethearts up to bring them to a wonderful foster home in Chicago to find their families. Levi's breed mix is unknown, and without a DNA test, we can not say for certain, but Levi and his siblings appear to have some, Shepherd, Border Collie, hound, and possibly some terrier breeds in their family tree. True super mutts! Given Levi's current age and weight, we anticipate he will mature into a great medium-sized pooch, most likely in the 40-55 pound range.
Levi can be just a bit bashful when meeting new people and in new situations, but he warms up very quickly with some gentle pats and kind words. He's a gentle soul who loves belly rubs and cuddles. He's attentive and eager to please and looks forward to learning about and exploring the world with his new humans. Levi loves to play and romp around with his sisters but is slightly more mellow than the girls.'
We also anticipate Levi and littermates will be energetic, intelligent dogs who will thrive in active households. Puppies are adorable and fun but require a tremendous amount of time, patience, and energy during their first year or so.
Puppies this age and size need potty breaks every 3-4 hours, along with lots and lots of playtime and attention throughout the day. Levi will do best in a home where someone is home more often than not and in a household prepared to take on crate training, housebreaking, and basic obedience training. Please consider if you truly have time for a puppy before applying, and please consult with all family members in the home before applying. Levi and his sisters are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. Their adoption fee to the rescue is $475. These guys are being fostered on Chicago's north side and can be seen by appointment after an adoption application has been submitted and approved by the rescue. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason once they are available for adoption. For more information or an adoption application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit http://palsplacerescue.org/adopt/. We do our best to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 hours. However, we are an all-volunteer organization and may not be able to respond for 1-3 days at times. If you are expecting a response from us, please check your spam/junk folders regularly, as our correspondence can sometimes end up in those folders.

Pal's Place is 100% reliant on donations to care for our rescued dogs.
