My name is Maddie!

Maddie was abandoned in a field and was humanly trapped, because she didnt trust humans. She had a collar and leash wrapped so tight around her neck, it had to be cut off at the shelter. She had clearly at some point been around people but lacked the confidence to trust again.  Maddie would hide in the back of the kennel, scared, and shut down.  Without an exit she would be euthanized. Her trapper and foster, Laura has been working hard to rehabilitate her to trust humans again. She was scared of just about everything. Cars, trash cans, people, loud noises. She is getting better every day. She now joins the rescue pack walks.  She goes on outings with other friends and dogs.  She is still a work in progress but ready for the next step in her journey if you want to help her bloom.  Nothing like the reward of watching a fearful dog let you in and learn to share your world with. you.  She will need someone with an open mind and no expectations other than eventual trust and unconditional love.  She is great with dogs.
