Matty and Morty are a very special pair of adult male cats looking for a forever home together! They came into the shelter in the summer of 2022 as TNR cats and, due to circumstances beyond their control, their stay at the shelter lasted longer than expected into the winter. During this time, they lost their 'feral' instincts, but clearly had never been acclimated to a life indoors with humans before. A wonderful foster stepped up and welcomed the two brothers into her home and has spent the past 6+ months socializing them and acclimating them to indoor life where they have blossomed into silly, food-and-fun loving house companions! They have lived alongside other cats and have always gotten along well with their feline friends. They have lived with several dogs as well and, while they haven't been the biggest fan of the pups, they never caused any trouble with the doggos in the home. They consistently use the litter box and have good house manners - however, due to their previously-feral life, they do not like being handled and would prefer to live with someone who knows how to respect their desire for personal space (though depending on his mood, Morty will sometimes enjoy pets while being pampered with treats). Matty is silly, playful and very talkative; he loves watching 'cat tv' in every window of his foser home. Morty is more laid back and snoozy, but is highly food-motiavted and will not hesitate to remind you that you've forgotten to give him his morning treats. They love to follow their foster mom from room-to-room and sleep undeneath the bed or by the bedroom door at night. Both would love to find a forever home and lighten up your life with some goofy cat fun!
