Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Spirit is a Chihuahua/American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mixed breed dog sprinkled with some Dachshund, Miniature Pinscher, and other breeds (DNA).
Now at ten months old, Spirit has found her teen angst and can be quite liberal with her barking at squirrels, some people (mostly men) and when she doesn't get her way. She can use more socializing to get used to people and other animals.
Very intelligent, trainable, affectionate, playful, and feisty are some of Spirit's best points. Full of energy, her "zoomies" are fun to watch.
Spirit's playful nature does not make her a good choice around small animals, like our eighteen-year-old cat, who would rather spend the day sleeping.
Abandoned in our front yard four months ago, we took the puppy in, but now we realize our empty-nest home is not a good fit for her needs. Traits from Spirit's breed mix are geared for an active family with kids, plenty of time for walks and play, and lots of family social time.
