My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, potential paw-rent! Let me introduce myself—I'm Bruce, a one-year-old bundle of joy eagerly searching for my forever family. At 57 pounds, I'm overflowing with love and enthusiasm, ready to win you over!

Let's Play: I live for playtime! Whether it's chasing after balls, tugging on toys, or going on epic fetch quests, I'm all about keeping the fun going strong.

Cuddle Champ: Despite my playful side, I've got a soft spot for snuggles. Curling up for some quality cuddle time is one of my favorite pastimes, and I'm always ready to shower my humans with affection.

Still Searching: While I may seem like the perfect furry companion (if I do say so myself), I'm still on the lookout for my perfect match. Could that be you? Let's team up and give each other the love and care we deserve!

Well-Behaved and Talented: I've got some impressive obedience skills under my belt—sit, down, shake, you name it! And I've got a knack for turning anything into a toy, adding a dash of mischief to my charming personality.

Kid and Pup Approved: I'm a social butterfly who gets along famously with kids and other dogs alike. My friendly demeanor and gentle nature make me a great fit for any family.

Age: 1.5 years old Weight: 57lbs

Ready to embark on a lifetime of adventures with me, Bruce, as your loyal sidekick? Don't wait any longer—reach out today to set up a playdate and see for yourself the joy I can bring to your life

Go meet their pets

We are a rescue that is dependent on volunteers as we do not have a physical building. We rent space at a kennel in Upperco, Md. If you would like to meet one of our dogs please contact us to make arrangements. Thanks!

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
