My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Danpoong❣️
She gave birth to five puppies in cold winter.
Unlike pictures, Danpoon is much smaller than expected with lovely jaw line🤭 She has beautiful maple mark on her forehead which makes her even cuter 🍂🍁 (Danpoong 단풍 means maple in Korean)

*Separation anxiety: Gets a bit upset when family members leave but comfortably rests on a cushion until they return.
*House training: Prefers outdoors, but is 100% effective with pads even indoors!

💟 Personality and Traits:
*Keywords: #ILikeFamily #ILikeWalking #Smart
*Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 5
*Danpung has good manners when greeted by other dogs but prefers to observe from afar during walks.
*Not overly interested in strangers, but quietly approaches those she wants to get close to, showing a gentle and curious nature.
*Checks on her family by going to their room, wagging her tail as if ensuring they're okay.
*Well-behaved when receiving treats—no need to worry about snatching.
*While not reactive to strangers during walks, can be wary of loud noises and large objects.
*Enjoys being leashed for walks, moving well without much tugging.
*Familiar with getting dressed for walks and stays still for post-walk foot wiping.
*Dislikes baths but handles them well, becoming excited and playful afterward.
*Might get car sick on longer rides.
*Moderate shedding.
*Impressive repertoire of skills: “Sit,” “Wait,” “Hand,” and “Touch,” with additional commands like ‘back’ and ‘please’ learned quickly.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
