My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Rory! I was found on the road by the shelter a couple weeks ago. They believe I am an 11 week old hound mix. I’m getting all my vaccines and am scheduled to be spayed soon. Lucky Tales and my foster family are now taking good care of me while I wait for my forever home.

Personality: Rory is the sweetest and is super chill. During the day she naps, pokes around the house, naps some more, plays with her toys, takes another nap. In the evening after dinner she gets the zoomies and loves to run around the backyard, chase a ball, and chew on sticks. She has shown an interest in digging, but does well with redirection. So far, Rory doesn’t make much noise. When she first goes in her crate in the evening, she whines for about 5 minutes, then settles in. When she sees other dogs or cats, she gets excited, but doesn’t make a sound. (She did bark at a tomato once, though.)

Training: Rory has been a very fast learner! As far as commands go, she already sits and is doing well with “stay.” Potty training is going GREAT! She had a few accidents when she first arrived at her foster home, but has already started learning to go to the door and sit when she needs to go out. She’s a puppy, so right now she does need to go out about every 3 hours when not in her crate. But at night, she sleeps in her crate and averages around 7 hours before she will let you know she needs to go. She also does well in her crate during the day when her foster family has to leave the house.

Other animals and children: Rory’s foster family has 3 cats. She really wants to play with them, but leaves them alone when they say, “no way.” She has been around other larger dogs for a brief time and did amazing--again, very chill. Rory’s foster home has had small children come to visit several times. She loves to play with them outside and will jump if the children run and yell– not aggressively–she just wants to play.

My adoption fee is $350
