My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This Blues Brother Duo started off as orphans on the unforgiving streets but now they’re on a mission to get the band back together.
They are eager to make new friends with other cats - with submissive belly displays and sweet kitten chirps. They have a particular fondness for senior lady cats.
Daisy (known as Jake) is shy, loves sunshine and a fresh breeze while atop a high perch. His favorite petting spots are his nose, cheeks, and an absolute sucker for a chest rub.
Jake doesn’t prefer belly or toe rubs.
Jake’s favorite hobbies include shredding cardboard boxes and feather toys.

Mickey (known as Elroy) is more than shy, he’s a nervous fellow and startles easily however, he forgets all about being nervous when treats or jingly feather toys are offered.
Once he’s relaxed, his favorite petting spots are his nose, between his front toes, and his belly.
Elroy doesn’t prefer his back toes or tail pet (at this time, but I expect that will change with time).
Elroy’s favorite hobbies include cuddling Jake, flirting with senior lady cats, lounging in hammocks, sleeping in cubbies, and playing chase the treat.
The blues brothers would make a wonderful match for someone who appreciates having their own personal space, enjoys energetic play, and won’t be put off by the acclimation period needed for these shy boys to adjust to the new sounds, smells, and routines of their happily ever after home.

More about this rescue

Puppy Kitty NYC was founded in the Fall of 2014. As of July 2018, we are an official 501(c)(3) organization. We focus on three aspects: First, finding homes for abandoned or friendly street cats and kittens. Secondly, attempting to control animal overpopulation by spaying and neutering feral cats and helping the sick and injured. Thirdly, fostering is a must.
