My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Daisy! She'll soon have her 1st Birthday on February 23rd and her birthday wish is that she'll celebrate it in her very own and special forever home. Is it yours?

She has beautiful markings of grey, black and brown and is what's called a "spotted" or "blotched" tabby with stripes and spots.

Daisy is the perfect combination of affectionate and independent. She has a sweet face to match her lovable personality. She gets along well with the other cats, so she would probably fit in with a multi-feline household as long as you give her enough time and space to adjust.

She loves to jump and play with any cat wand toy. She's a pretty unflappable cat who doesn't mind entertaining herself, but would prefer a human companion at the other end of the couch to give her a scratch behind her ears or hold the cat wand.

Come meet Daisy any day Tuesday thru Saturday from 11:00AM-3:00PM and make her Birthday wish come true!

You will be required to fill out our adoption application to be approved to adopt. The Cat Director or Dog Director will approve applications.

More about this rescue

ORHS is dedicated to improve the lives of animals in our community and to find loving and permanent homes for cats and dogs in our care.

We rescue animals scheduled for euthanasia from local animal control facilities and from other homeless situations, and provide a safe haven for animals in transition in our loving foster homes.

We work to end animal overpopulation and disease through an aggressive spay/neuter program for the pets of low-income residents in our community.

We know of no other community spay/neuter program that offers NO-COST surgeries for the pets of needy residents.

We help needy families feed and care for their pets, serve as advocates for animals and their people, and educate the public about compassion and responsibility toward all animals.

Our adoption center is a No-Kill facility where all incoming animals accepted are evaluated, medically treated and rehabilitated when needed. ORHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that does not receive any government funding and relies on the goodwill and generosity of individuals and corporations.
