Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rose. We would like to start taking applications for her now, but she will not be available to go to her new home until the end of September 2023. Rose is a beautiful five-year-old Cocker Spaniel. She is a curious and sweet little girl. Rose is very much a velcro dog. While she is friendly to all household members, she is very likely to pick “her one person” in the home to be her new best friend. Rose enjoys chasing tennis balls and pulling the fuzzy parts off of her toys. She is an excellent eater and eagerly awaits meal times. She walks fairly well on a leash and enjoys going for leisurely strolls. Rose seems to like other dogs and would be fine with other calm canines close in size (15 pounds) to her in her new home. Potential adopters need to be aware of a few things with Rose. She is not a low maintenance dog. If her adopters want to keep her with her current coat, the amount of grooming and daily hair care (brushing) Rose will need to keep her glamorous looks in tip top shape should be kept in mind. Rose is not perfect with her potty skills and would benefit from a family that can give her frequent potty breaks outside. She also seems to have a bit of anxiety which has been observed as panting and some whining. All About Paws is working with our veterinarian to determine if some anxiety calming medication would alleviate symptoms. Rose would thrive best if adopted by a family that is home more often than not, one where she can be walked/exercised daily, and one that can be patient and willing to work with her in order to help her be the fabulous little girl she is. She would not do well with young children, but dog savvy children 14 and up would be ok. She would love a home with a fenced yard so she can explore in safety. Adopters who have experience with this breed or similar breeds are preferred. Rose is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea preventative, Spayed, microchipped, and de-wormed. Rose’s adoption fee is $350. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little girl to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.
