My name is Wrecker!

Hello, I'm Wrecker. I am a mature DSH black and white male, grateful for all the patience and medical help I have received. I have transformed into a fluffy kitty now that seeks attention and some brushing and pets. When the mood strikes, I will participate in wand play and I like to roll all over the catnip banana or toss around a toy. I'm a quiet and independent guy overall who prefers some space around me, although I'm getting closer to rubbing against your leg. I can be assertive at times with other cats if they get in my valuable wet food. Otherwise, we respect each other and mind our own business. When I came to Wild Blue, I had a severe upper respiratory infection and lots of dental issues. I have since had dental surgery to remove all my teeth, and I am on a special medication to hopefully eliminate any residual stomatitis. My interest in human touch varied throughout my recovery, but now I'm feeling great! I prefer a calm approach and slow hand motions and then pets or brushing are welcome, but I do have my limit so watch my cues. I like to nap a lot and sometimes I don't care to be bothered then. Calm assurances and conversations help me get to know new people, and I like to be able to choose my attention. I did test FIV+ during my medical review and my estimated birthdate is 3/16/14. I would prefer a calm and quiet home, preferably without kids and other cats.
