My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Sadie
Nicknames: Sadie Girl. Sadie the Lady. Mama.
Sex: Female
Breed: Pug
Weight: 21 lbs.
Age: 5 Years
Before OMD: Breeder release to the rescue - she brought one of her puppies, OMD Jack, along with her.
Energy Level: Lower with little bursts of playful energy.
Descriptor Words: Middle-aged Pug…..
Expert In: Sidekick-ing. She is well-behaved, very social, and happy to be out and about with her people – whether it’s a walk, brewery visit, car ride, outdoor brunching (watch out though, she may steal your bacon) or a family gathering, she’s ready to be by your side. At home, she is also thrilled to cuddle up right with you, but she'll play independently when needed.
What we love most: She’s always happy. Her exquisite Pug noises. Her excited dance. Her mastery of the downward dog position. How she makes room to snuggle, even if there is no room. If she wants to snuggle, you are snuggling.
What she loves most: Hedgehog toys (or most any toy for that matter). Mealtime, which is evident by her dancing and subsequent full-steam-ahead running towards the bowl.
What she knows: Not much tbh! She is very good on leash though, if that counts...
Kids: Though she has not lived with any, we expect she will do well with any dog-savvy, respectful kiddo.
Dogs: Sure! She would often play with her son Jack and now co-exists with her Pug foster brother. Heads up, she does like to eat alone and in peace.
Cats: Has not met a cat yet, though we do not imagine she would have any issues living with one.
House-trained: Yep! Though her foster mom has to be intentional with her walks as she doesn’t always love to go number 1 and number 2 on the same walk, so she requires some patience.
Crate-trained: Yes, loves her crate.

Sadie is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is available for adoption to CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org
